Opening Ceremonies Game

Welcome to the USSSA World Series!

Following Opening Ceremonies the players, coaches, and fans will be invited to join the USSSA Pride in a National Professional Fasptitch League game.

Last year in this game, the teams were able to watch Monica Abbott and Megan Gibson battle it out to a 4-1 USSSA Pride victory.
Amber Jackson and Jessica Dignon provided the offensive firepower each with a home run. Amber’s homer came in the bottom of the first inning with one runner on to take back the lead for the Pride.

In the bottom of the second, Jessica Dignon shot a solo home run off of Megan Gibson to push the Pride lead even further out of reach.

The star of the contest was Monica Abbott. In the contest, she struck out an overall total of 17 batters, and the improbable 4 BATTERS in the top of the first inning. After the run scored in the top of the first, only two batters advance past first base as Monica got into a rhythm and controlled the game for the victory.

What drama will unfold this year? That remains to be seen, but we do know that you will be able to hang out with 2000 of your best friends and see some of the best softball players on the planet do battle in Champions Stadium.
